The Hon Bernie Ripoll
The Hon Bernie Ripoll is a director with the SAS Group public affairs consultants and advises in the financial services sector. He also is the Chairman of biogas developer Utilitas Group and a works with Fin-Tech businesses across the country. Bernie was the federal Labor Member for Oxley in Brisbane’s South West between 1998 and 2016. During this time, he served as Parliamentary Secretary to the Treasurer and chaired the Parliamentary Joint Committee on Corporations and Financial Services.
Bernie has been a Director of Inala Primary Care since 2007 when our original constitution required the appointment of a community representative. When our constitution changed in 2015 he elected to continue with the organisation because of his deeply held beliefs on the work of IPC in the local community. Bernie and his family were migrants to Australia, settling in Inala after a period at the then Wacol, Migrant Camp. Like many of our Directors, he is committed to ensure Inala Primary Care continues to serve the ethnically diverse and disadvantaged community that motivated us to create new models of health care.
Bernie holds a Bachelor of Business degree from QUT, has completed the AICD Company Directors Course and is a Member of the IPC Clinical Governance Committee.
