Our promise to patients is “No patient will leave feeling like a number because every consultation makes a difference!”

How do we deliver on this promise?

  • Our average waiting time is just 12 minutes
  • We allow patients to select and see their preferred doctor and nurse
  • We offer home nursing visits for patients receiving screening and patient education
  • We contact our patients before their visits to remind them of their appointments
  • Our doctors participate in paid professional development at least once a month
  • We actively seek feedback from patients and clinicians to keep upgrading our service

Our practice is located in premises custom designed to provide ease of access to the latest range of medical equipment, including a resuscitation suite and surgical area. All of our services are bulk billed.

We also have onsite allied health providers from podiatrists to physiotherapists, dieticians and mental health nurses.  We are also co-located with pathology, radiology, pharmacy and other health services.  This means a whole team can work together to make your care truly personalized and appropriate.  Best of all, by being in the one location, it saves you the travel and coordination hassles involved in seeing multiple health professionals.

What else makes us different?

Medicine is an ever changing field benefitting from the advances in the many scientific disciplines which combine to deliver medical care.  Working alone it can be hard for any clinician to earn an income and keep up to date.  Our practice is large enough that clinicians can specialize and support others with their expert knowledge or skills.

Our links with the university also mean that we are at the forefront of research, especially in relation to some common chronic diseases.  Our expertise in bringing specialised care into a general practice setting means we have a growing range of linkages with medical specialists in a variety of hospitals and academic placements.  Their knowledge about diabetes, kidney disease, respiratory care and much more is accessible to our doctors and means we are at the leading edge of evidence based practice in these fields.

Over the next 12 months we will be rolling out a range of clinical measures which will help us more accurately track the health outcomes of our patients and the benchmarks across our clinical team.  Using this knowledge we will be able to further improve the quality of care we offer and engage in comparative studies with general practices recognised for being outstanding performers.  This willingness to constantly stretch ourselves, change and grow benefits our patients and creates a vibrant work environment for our well regarded clinicians.

If you want to experience people living their passion for excellence in primary care, teaching and research phone 07 3275 5444 for an appointment.

Inala Primary Care is a charity.  We report to a Board who are determined to see that we provide the sort of chronic disease services our community really needs.  Queensland Health is a sponsor, providing subsidised accommodation for our practice.

Our mission is to provide, prove, teach and replicate models of care which improve patient outcomes above benchmarks for disadvantaged populations.  For these reasons we engage in teaching the next generation of doctors, researching various aspects of disease care and piloting new services. From time to time, you may be asked to participate in our research programs or to have a medical student involved in your care.
